Floreon's CEO and Founder, Shaun Chatterton
and Technical Director, Andy Gill
are attending this years K-Show; the world's leading trade fair for the plastics and rubber industry in Dusseldorf.
This 8 day event brings together all major companies within the plastic industry who will be discussing amongst other topics the circular economy in this sector.
Floreon’s Dr. Andrew Gill will be presenting at the show on the Clariant stand on October 21st at 2.30pm (booth 8Aj11), he will be focussing on the hot topic of Floreon’s bio material that is durable, flame retardant and antimony free, their unique grade is called Therma-Tech and can be used in automotive, electronics and toys and is a sustainable alternative to oil based plastics.
Floreon’s Therma-Tech is based on the bio plastic PLA, which has a carbon footprint of only 0.5kg C02eq per kg polymer, which is over seven times lower than that of ABS.
"We are proud to have partnered with Clariant to produce this new innovative product, Floreon's Therma-Tech strengthens the link between efficiency and sustainability, safety and performance, value and a low carbon footprint."

ABOUT US
Floreon is a plant-based plastic, derived from crops such as corn and sugar cane, making it a renewable alternative to oil-based plastics.
We use PLA, a plant-based material, as our base and then add our additives to create a tough bioplastic called Floreon. Floreon competes on performance with oil-based plastics but with a substantially lower carbon footprint, helping you to achieve your sustainability goals.
Our formulation enhances the performance of PLA, making it over ten times tougher than ABS, a common oil-based plastic.
WORK WITH US
Consumers and brands are being asked to reduce their carbon footprint, by using materials that are better for the planet. Floreon’s patented formulas can be used in your manufacturing process to replace oil-based plastics with Floreon’s bioplastic.
No compromise on strength or colour; plus Floreon has specialist formulas for antimicrobial to prevent viruses and a flame retardant formula for use in electrical products. All formulas are designed to work within your existing manufacturing process.
